CONFERENCE – International Urban Health Summit (Herrenhausen Palace/Germany)

At the invitation of the Volkswagen Foundation, Roman presents his work at the International Urban Health Summit (April 9 - April 11, 2025) at the Herrenhausen Palace (Hanover/Germany). The conference is organized by the Volkswagen Foundation, in cooperation with the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities and the InterAcademy Partnership (IAP).

 

In addition to speaking on the Panel “Community Engagement through Art”, Roman will be leading four workshops for the participants.

 

At this conference, experts from academia, politics, government and the non-profit sector will discuss solutions for promoting health in cities from the perspective of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (UN Agenda 2030); participants will include representatives from the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN Habitat). The conference promotes interdisciplinary collaboration and knowledge exchange on various aspects of urban health, including the following topics:

  • urban planning & governance
  • built environment and urban health
  • natural environment, climate change & urban health
  • public engagement & urban decision making
  • AI & urban health
  • education & urban health
