About the "PEAK": Roman releases a limited number of places each week for these short “peaks” into his atelier. The availability depends on his workload in other projects.
Reference of quality: The first programme of his artistic tours + atelier visits Roman developed in 2021 as a commission by the Museum for the History of Lyon (Musées Gadagne). See commission.
PROGRAMME
During your visit, you will be able to explore Roman's atelier, a true mille-feuilles ("thousand-sheets") of history: It is situated in an ancient building (1650) in the heart of Lyon's historic silk weavers' district (Les Pentes de la Croix-Rousse) – in the 1950s it was a legendary "clandé", a clandestine house of prostitution!
On the basis of the artworks exhibited on site – drawings, multimedia installations, readymades, poetry – Roman will give you an introductory taste of his metaphorical-interdisciplinary approach. And you will discover, how they enter into a dialogue with the history and present of Lyon. For details, please consult the menu Artworks and the VIDEO-Trailer below.
MEETING POINT: Roman's ART STUDIO, 17 Rue René Leynaud, 69001 Lyon (see photo of the entrance door) – google maps. Please be there 5 minutes before the official start of the visit.
